Skilled Workforce Issue: Meeting For Skills Standardization And Certificates Issuance

A coordination meeting was held at the Ministry of Industry on Tuesday for skills standardization and certificates issuance. The Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than stressed the guidelines by the Prime Minister which are to issue relevant certificates to skilled labourers, to have all the industries registered and to manage the Small and Medium enterprises.

For the skilled labourers in Nay Pyi Taw area with 668 industries, the Union Minister stressed the data collection and cooperation with the National Skills Standards Authority (NSSA) for certificates issuance.

Also, Union Minister U Myint Kyaing stressed his ministry’s efforts for human resources development, skilled labourers production and certificates issuance for establishing model industrial zones.

This meeting continued with a discussion by Union Minister Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw on the plan to open an Assessment Center to fully cooperate for the skills standardization and certificates issuance for labourers. Attendees also discussed the skills standardination and certificates issuance processes by the ministries.
