







For systematic fuel consumption without any waste, digital technology centered distribution system was started on March 12th nationwide and the system has been upgraded on March 27th to sell specific amount of fuel for each vehicle.
In practicing the system, constant working processes on online monitoring, control measures, system upgrading based on public feedback, to ensure solving technological issues and preventing fraud. A total of 2,943 fuel stations have been operating nationwide, and 879 stations of them are selling fuel, using Bar Code/ QR Code system.
This system will be expanded to Pathein and townships along Yangon-Pyay-Magway Road, starting this week. Currently, based on the engine capacity of each vehicle, fuel is being sold 3 times a week for taxi, tri-cycle and trucks for the convenience of public transportation and good commodity flow.
Due to the fraudulence activities on this initiative, those vehicles will be allowed to buy fuel depending on the distance of routes starting April 3rd. Public are urged to cooperate with related authorities, submitting complaints on any illegal acts.
