SAC Meeting 4/2022: SG addresses the State Administration Council meeting

The State Administration Council meeting 4/2022 was held in Nay Pyi Taw on 12th May with an the State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, At the meeting, the Senior General said that al­though relevant organizations are striving for the restoration of peace, deserved achieve­ments could not be secured due to some restrictions.

Likewise, some EAOs face difficulties with PDF terrorists in their areas. Hence, arrangements are be­ing made to soonest meet with those EAOs.

The peace talks will get a reasonable answer, and further talks will be arranged. Leaders of the ethnic armed organizations together with two members each are invited to the talks.

So far, seven NCA signato­ries and three non-NCA signato­ries have replied to attend the talks. Some EAOs will send the persons representing the chair­men for their health conditions.

In regard with learn education for the students, the Senior General said that a plan is underway to open basic education schools in the coming June.

Arrangements are being made to turn out qualified faculty members to be appointed at universities. The Senior General urged all students to learn education.

The Senior General also highlighted healthcare services for the people and vaccination for the Covid-19 pandemic and needs for the economic development on the thrifty use of fuel and reducing cooking oil to decrease importation and save spending on foreign exchange.

Ha called on the people striving for the development of the State economy based on agriculture and livestock.

SAC members discussed the installation of machines to check arms and ammunition at the entrances to Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, regions and states, the continuous open­ing of the ways for remaining EAOs to attend the peace talks, plans to use digital currency and taking action against some personnel who committed mal­practices in farmland issues.

In response to the discus­sions, the Senior General re­plied that the peace talks will be held with each EAO.

The government and the Tatmad­aw have guaranteed multiparty democracy and the Union sys­tem based on democracy and federalism.

The peace talks must be based on trust, honesty and interests of the Union. He said they have adopted a five-point road map.

The achievement of this road map is related to peace issues. So, they will implement the peace issue in harmony with the people’s desire.

If people wish to enjoy the fruits of democracy truly, if the entire ethnic people of the Union do it in the Union spirit and they have the perspective to secure the achievement and the peace talks would be successful.
