





Member of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister Admiral Tin Aung San together with Union Ministers, Rakhine State Chief Minister, Deputy Ministers and officials attended a work coordination meeting on all-round renovation of religious buildings damaged by cyclone Mocha in Rakhine State at the Rakhine State Government Office on Monday.
At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister Admiral Tin Aung San said that repairing of damaged pagodas, stupas and religious buildings will be undertaken systematically with the contribution original donors and well-wishers and close supervision of the Pagoda Boards of Trustees.
In doing so, all-round renovation tasks will be undertaken as quick as possible under the guidance of the Ministry, the State government and members of sanghas and the Myanmar art works needs to be repaired as quick as possible without losing original style.
He called on members of the Pagoda Boards of Trustees to draft plans systematically for renovation of damaged pagodas and stupas as well as religious buildings and to organize donors and well-wishers widely and to release news.
Later, members of Pagoda Board of Trustees reported on damages of religious buildings and arrangements for all-round renovation on which Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and the State Chief Minister discussed the needs. After that, Union Minister Admiral Tin Aung San discussed the reports and fulfilled the needs.
In the afternoon, Admiral Tin Aung San and party visited Government Technical High School (Sittwe) and observed students learning, repairing of school buildings and teaching halls and asked about future plans and cordially greeted students and teachers. 76 students are pursuing education at the Technical High School (Sittwe).
After that, Admiral Tin Aung San and party looked into staff housings of the State Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, Department of Marine Administration and Myanmar Posts and cordially greeted the staffs and gave necessary instructions.
Similarly, Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung together with officials visited Sittwe University and the Training School for development of nationalities youth from border areas and looking into measures for beautifying of the University and digging drainages and systematic power lines, renovation of the inner parts of the buildings at the training school and student learning and gave necessary instructions.
The Ministry of Electric Power has completed repairing of PonnaKyun-Kyauktaw 6-KV power line damaged by cyclone Mocha and electricity could be supplied cent per cent to the wards including Maha Muni Pagoda in Kyauktaw.
