Regional Development: Development works in Sittwe

Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin inspected regional development projects in Sittwe on Friday, accompanied by relevant officials.

They oversaw the retaining walls, platforms, railings, iron fencing, and road construction along Chaung Nar Road in Mizan Ward, funded under the 2025–2026 fiscal year capital allocation. After hearing reports on completed and ongoing projects, the Chief Minister instructed timely work completion while coordinating requirements.

They also inspected progress on platform construction and drainage works along Mizan Strand Road, as well as excavation work at KhaWarThae Creek. The Chief Minister later inspected the road upgrading works at the Sittwe Hotel intersection, including stone retaining walls, road paving, widening and completion status of Parapet wall’s construction.

The officials briefed on progress, and the Chief Minister provided necessary guidance. The Chief Minister and party then inspected the stored construction materials at the State Roads Department warehouse, where officials reports on procurement and usage plans. The Chief Minister instructed the needs and toured the warehouse.
