Red Carpet Welcome:Welcoming ceremony and bilateral meeting

President U Min Aung Hlaing received a red carpet welcome as he begins an official visit to Thailand on Thursday, at the invitation of the Prime Minister Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul.

On his arrival at the Government House of Thailand in Bangkok, a military band played the national anthems of both countries and President U Min Aung Hlaing, together with the Thai Prime Minister inspected an ‌honour guard. The two leaders later held talks, before holding the bilateral meeting where President U Min Aung Hlaing pledged to pursue peace and improve ties with ASEAN.

He also said that Myanmar is on the path of democracy and heading towards a better future. The President and Prime Minister of Thailand also witnessed the signing and exchange of Memoranda of Understanding between Myanmar and Thailand.
