Trade and Business Opportunities: 5th Yangon International Gems and Jewellery Fair 2026

The 5th Yangon International Gems and Jewellery Fair 2026 opened at the Lotte Hotel in Yangon on Thursday.

The four-day event, organized by the Yangon Region Gems and Jewellery Entrepreneurs Association, was attended by Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu, senior government officials, representatives from the Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization, the Myanmar Gems and Jewellery Entrepreneurs Association, foreign embassies and invited guests.

The opening ceremony featured a ribbon-cutting by the Chief Minister, followed by opening speeches from officials and industry representatives. After the ceremony, the Chief Minister toured the exhibition, which showcases a wide range of gems, jade and finished jewellery products. The fair will run from August 6 to 9 and it aims to promote Myanmar's gems and jewellery industry while creating business and trade opportunities.
