Pyithu Hluttaw Session: 6th Day of 3rd regular session held

The sixth day of the Third Regular Session of the Third Pyithu Hluttaw was held at 10 a.m. today, 28 September, at the Pyithu Hluttaw Meeting Hall in Nay Pyi Taw. Of the 351 Hluttaw representatives entitled to attend, 340 were present.

The question-and-answer session was held in accordance with the agenda. A total of 11 questions were raised, including questions from Dr. Kyaw Kyaw Htay of Dawei Constituency on whether lists of children unable to attend school could be compiled and measures taken to enable them to complete basic education; U Tin Moe Aung, also known as Nay Shine of Yankin Constituency on whether there were plans to allow unlicensed motor vehicles to be officially registered; and Dr Shwe Pyi Soe of Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) Constituency on whether there were plans to systematically restrict motorized cycles and sell small three-wheeled vehicles under a cost-sharing arrangement, with 50 percent borne by private individuals and 50 percent by the State. Other questions were raised by U Myint Tun of Kya-inn-seikkyi Constituency on whether electricity could be supplied to TR-80 loan recipients in Kya-inn-seikkyi Township, U Maung Maung Soe of Thabaung Constituency on whether staff housing for the Township Health Department in Thabaung Township would be included in the earliest possible financial year and construction continued and U Tun Tun Moe of Yedashe Constituency on whether the Township People's Hospital in Yedashe Township could be upgraded to a standard 50-bed hospital staffed by specialist doctors.

The questions, including those mentioned above, were answered by Deputy Minister for Education U Nay Myo Hlaing, Deputy Minister for Transport U Aung Myaing, Deputy Minister for Electric Power and Energy U Aye Kyaw, and Deputy Minister for Health Dr Aye Tun, it’s reported.
