








Pension payments, healthcare services, and providing supplies for retired civil servants were held on March 23 at the Khaing Thazin Hall in Sittwe. The event was attended by Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin and his wife, members of the state government and their spouses, as well as representatives from various departments and social organizations.
First, the Rakhine State Chief Minister and officials warmly greeted the retired civil servants who came to collect their pensions. They then observed the Myanmar Economic Bank staff conducting the necessary verifications to facilitate the pension payments to the retired civil servants.
Subsequently, the Chief Minister and officials observed the pension payment process for retired civil servants, the healthcare services provided by staff from the Department of Traditional Medicine, and the medical care provided by specialist consultants, doctors, and nurses from the Sittwe General Hospital (500-bed). They coordinated with responsible officials on necessary matters. After that, the Chief Minister and his wife, the Chief Justice of the State High Court, members of the state government, and responsible officials distributed rice and food provisions presented by the Rakhine State Government to the retired civil servants.
Following this, the Chief Minister and officials visited the Buddhist Museum in Sittwe, where they paid homage to the Buddha image and offered flowers, water, and oil lamps.
Afterwards, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the renovation works of the "Let Us Preserve Ancient Heritage" exhibition hall, which was carried out under the supervision of the Rakhine State Government within the Buddhist Museum.
During the inspection, the State Director and officials from the Department of Archaeology and National Museum provided explanations regarding the establishment and operation of the exhibition hall. The Chief Minister coordinated necessary matters with responsible officials, it’s reported.
