





Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture, U Tin Oo Lwin, on July 15, attended and delivered a speech at the ceremony of providing educational assistance by the Ministry for the students for 2025-2026 Academic Year.
The ceremony was held in the collective meeting room of the Ministry, Office No. 31 in Nay Pyi Taw. First, the Union Minister delivered the opening remarks, stating that just as the children are the future of the nation, so is education.
He emphasized that for every school-aged child to receive an education and become educated youth, and for them to acquire varying levels of knowledge corresponding to their academic achievements. Citing the motto "There is no friend like knowledge," he stressed that parents must fulfill their duty by ensuring their children are enrolled in school, striving for them to become good and capable individuals, true gems of the nation who can benefit themselves, their communities, and the country.
Subsequently, the educational assistances for the 2025-2026 academic year were presented by Union Minister U Tin Oo Lwin, Deputy Ministers U Aye Tun and Daw Nu Mya Zan, and Permanent Secretary U Myint Oo.
Officials from the Minister's Office and various departments received the assistances. The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture annually provides educational assistances for primary, middle, high school, and university students. For the 2025-2026 academic year, educational assistances were awarded to 1,849 students from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture.
