Peace Talks: Government’s Team, RCSS hold 1st day discussion

The Peace Talks Team of the government and the peace delegation led by chairman of the Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS) held the 1st day discussion on Tuesday in Nay Pyi Taw.

The meeting at the National Unity and Peacemaking Center was attended by member of the State Administration Council (SAC) and Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peace Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) Union Minister at the Government Office Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, SAC Member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, NSPNC Secretary Lt-Gen Min Naung, Chairman of the RCSS General Yawd Serk, Secretary (1) Sao Sai Ngin and Central Executive Committee member Sao Saung Han.

This discussion began with speeches by Peace Talks Team Leader Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and the RCSS Chairman General Yawd Serk. And, member of the NSPNC Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein made clarification of the list of Union legislation – Table 1 and the list of regional or state legislation – Table 2 in the 2008 Constitution, and secretary of the NSPNC Lt-Gen Min Naung continued the presentation of post-2020 levelized procedures and phased implementations – Table 2.

The 1st day meeting continued with sharing attitudes and desires with each other – the 2nd day discussion is set to take place on the 31st of August.
