Message of Congratulations : Congratulatory to the distinguished religious title holder

A ceremony was held on Saturday at the Tipitaka Maha Gandhavin Nikaya  Monastery in Dagon Myothit (East) of Yangon Region, to present a message of congratulations from Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing, to Sayadaw Bhaddanta Vicittasara , who received the Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida title at the 78th selection examination.

The ceremony was attended by Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, regional ministers, departmental officials, and members of the Sangha.

During the event, the congratulatory message was read out, praising the Sayadaw’s successful completion of difficult Abhidhamma texts and his long-standing contribution to Buddhist learning. Offertories and cash donation were also presented to the award-winning Sayadaw and the Patron Sayadaw of the monastery.

The was followed by the sermons of the Patron Sayadaw, highlighting the importance of honoring deserving individuals for the promotion of the Buddha Sasana. The monastery was founded in 2001 and has now reached 25 years in 2026.

During this period, one monk received the Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida title at the 67th selection examination, one at the 77th examination, and one at the current 78th examination, bringing the total number of distinguished Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida monks produced by the monastery to three.
