







Eligible voters from 17 townships in Yangon Region are casting their votes at respective polling stations for the third phase of the multi-party democracy general election, starting 6:00 am in the morning on Sunday.
For Pyithu Hluttaw seats, six candidates are contesting in Dagon Constituency; four candidates in Lanmadaw Constituency; seven candidates in Seikkyi Khanaungto Constituency; seven candidates in Dala Constituency; seven candidates in Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) Constituency; eight candidates in Dagon Myothit (East) Constituency; seven candidates in Mingalataungnyunt Constituency; seven candidates in Thaketa Constituency; six candidates in North Okkalapa Constituency; seven candidates in Tamwe Constituency; six candidates in Yankin Constituency; five candidates in Kyauktan Constituency; four candidates in Khayan Constituency; five candidates in Thonegwa Constituency; four candidates in Sanchaung Constituency; eight candidates in Hlaingthaya (West) Constituency and eight candidates in Hlaingthaya (East) Constituency.
For Amyotha Hluttaw, under the First-Past-the-Post system, one candidate will be elected from each of six constituencies, while under the Mixed-Member Proportional system, two candidates each will be elected from three constituencies.
For the Region Hluttaw, one candidate will be elected from each constituency under the First-Past-the-Post system. Under the Mixed-Member Proportional system, 13 candidates will be elected from Constituency Number One, eight candidates each from Constituencies Numbers Two and Three, 10 candidates from Constituency Number Four, and three candidates each from Constituencies Numbers Five and Six.
For Ethnic Affairs Minister seats, four candidates from four political parties are contesting in the Kayin Ethnic Constituency, while six candidates from five political parties and one independent candidate are contesting in the Rakhine Ethnic Constituency.
