Peace Process: SAC Chairman Met With KNU/KNLA (PC) Delegation

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with a peace delegation led by Chairman of the Kayin National Union/ Kayin National Liberation Army (Peace Council) KNU/ KNLA (PC) Saw Htawt Lay in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

The Senior General discussed that since the country is resided by the different ethnic people, work implementations have to be carried out for the interest of the union. Only when peace is prevailed, the State Building and Nation Building endeavours could be done, and thus, it needs to consider for the development of the national races, states and country. He also explained the education promotion tasks being carried out in the entire nation including the national races areas in order to turn out the human resources equipped with the intellectual and intelligentsia, needed for fostering democracy. He also discussed matters on the endeavours for practicing the multi-party democracy system which is desired by the entire people and the establishment of the Union based on democracy and federal system.

The KNU/KNLA (PC) Chairman and party also exchanged views on the practicing the multi-party democracy and the establishment of the Union based on democracy and federal system as well as the regional development, and peace process. The peace delegation will also hold talks with the Peace Committee with the comprised of the SAC members and National Solidarity and Peace Negotiation Committee.
