Peace Process: Peace Talks Team, KNU/KNLA (PC) meet

The Peace Talks Team of the Government and a peace delegation led by Chairman of the Karen National Liberation Army (Peace Council) KNU/KNLA (PC) Saw Htaw Lay held a meeting in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday. 

The meeting was attended by State Administration Council Member National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee [NSPNC] Chairman Union Minister at the Government Office (1) Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, in his capacity as leader of the Peace Talks Team, Council Member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, NSPNC Secretary Lt-Gen Min Naung, Chairman of the KNU/KNLA (PC) Saw Htaw Lay, Vice-Chair Dr. Naw Kapaw Htoo and Central Executive Committee Member Saw Maung Maung.

In the talks, Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and KNU/KNLA (PC) Chairman Saw Htaw Lay made greeting speeches and the attendees discussed peace and development programmes. The talks is set to take place till the 28th of May.
