Order No.2/2026: Appointment of the Union Chief Justice

President Office issued an Order No.2/2026 on April 10, regarding the appointment of the Chief Justice of the Union.

According to Section 299(b) and (c), Sub-Section (4) of the Constitution, Section 16(b), Sub-Section(1) of the Union Government Law and Section 26 of the Union Judiciary Law, U Tha Htay was appointed as the Chief Justice of the Union. The order was signed by President U Min Aung Hlaing.
