Opening Ceremony: Promoting ethnic literature and culture

On the 26th of December, the opening ceremony of the Lua (Plang) Ethnic Literature and Culture Hall took place in the Kengtung area of Shan State (East).

The event was formally opened by Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye, Commander of Triangle Region Command Maj-Gen Aung Khaing Win, the State Ethnic Affairs Minister, and officials from the Ethnic Literature and Culture Association. Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye later unveiled the building's signboard, followed by a sprinkling of scented water with attendees.

They then proceeded to explore the various booths exhibited on the upper floor of the hall. In his speech, Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye emphasized the crucial importance of preserving the national characteristics of ethnic nationalities.

He urged the cooperation of all ethnic communities in working towards the common interests of the region and state. As part of the festivities, cash donations were contributed, and traditional cultural dances added a touch of heritage and celebration.
