Okinawa clears up after brush with typhoon Muifa

Typhoon Muifa headed north and away from Ishigaki Island in Okinawa, Japan but heavy rain fall warnings with strong winds were still set in place on Tuesday.

Fallen trees and branches were seen on the island on Tuesday and traffic lights there were without power. The typhoon is moving at a speed of 6 miles per hour with waves expected to reach heights of around 9 metres. The Typhoon was expected to hit China in the coming days.
