





Rakhine State has completed cent percent of implementing the Pan Khin Project and a ceremony to mark the successful work performance was held in Sittwe on 27th May.
Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Khin Yi said the ministry is carrying out the project for the eligible voters to cast votes in the upcoming elections with the proof of the identity cards.
The project has been implementing for 18 months from May 2021 to November this year. It’s been over one year, and during this period, Bago, Ayeyawady, Mandalay, Taninthayi and Magwe Regions and Nay Pyi Taw have exceeded the target of the project.
Rakhine State also achieved the exceeding the target issuance of the NRC cards with over 116% since it has already issued over 183,000 NRC cards out of over 157,000 estimations.
The Union Minister urged all to cooperate in NRC issuance process since it has to be implemented constantly.
During the ceremony, the staff from Rakhine State under the ministry has been presented with the honorary certificates and promoted to the senior position.
The Union Minister and party later visited the Rakhine State Department of Immigration and Population, and inspected the data entry process for NRC issuance process.
