Myanmar Legal AI Assistant Model: Applying AI in legal awareness activities

A meeting on reviewing the applying AI in legal awareness activities  was held at the Ministry of Legal Affairs on Wednesday.

The meeting was jointly organized by the Ministry of Legal Affairs and the National AI Development Department under the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications. Union Minister for Legal Affairs, Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo in her capacity as Chair of the Supervisory Committee on the Legal Knowledge Dissemination via AI Technology attended the meeting, and made a speech, praising the rapid progress made on the "Myanmar Legal AI Assistant Model" as part of the accelerated efforts for legal knowledge dissemination. 

It is learnt that over 130,000 legal Q&A pairs had been successfully put into the AI Model Version 1 and specific legal domains had been selected for further training. At present, trial operations of legal questions using the model are already underway. The Union Minister urged officials to strive for the public launching of AI Model Version 1. The meeting discussed plans for successful launching of Myanmar Legal Assistant AI Model Version 1, its operation progress and future technology upgrading works.
