MSME Trade Fair: Bago Region Government 3rd MSME trade fair

Local MSME products trade fair conducted by the Bago Region Government MSME development agency was held at the Khittayar Culture Office in the Pyi District of Bago Region on 15th January.

The aim of the trade fair is to develop micro, small and medium enterprise businesses in the Bago region and to develop the region and country’s economy.

U Tin Oo, Economic affairs minister, Bago Region Government, said " 99 percent of our country’s economy is micro small, and medium enterprise and those businesses can respond quickly to the needs of the changing market conditions and that is the main provider in economic growth. To bring the country's economy up, we are implementing under the constructions of the Government the main key MSME businesses to develop. With the aim of developing MSME businesses in region and state, to gain market for manufactured entrepreneurs. We organized a talk show and trade fair with the entrepreneurs in Pyi District to develop the businesses."

Ko pyae, ShalHtooShal oil business, said " We displayed a blended oil -mixture of peanut, sesame and vegetable here. I think by holding such an event, people's interests will gain and the traders will gain strength."

Manager of the Myanmar Economic Bank (Bago Region) explained about the role of MEB in providing the entrepreneurs.

Daw Wai Kyaw, Manager, Myanmar Economic Bank (Bago Region), said " Our MEB has given SMEs loans since 2018 both JICA loans and MEPSME loans. I encourage entrepreneurs to take out loans to promote their economy."

This is the 3rd time that the Bago Region government has held this MSME trade fair.
