




The fifth day of the First Regular Session of the Third Mon State Hluttaw was held at the meeting hall of the Mon State Hluttaw Office in Mawlamyine in the morning of April 6. During the session, the Speaker of the Mon State Hluttaw presented the name of the state Hluttaw representative proposed by the President-elect to be appointed as the Mon State Chief Minister, and distributed brief biographical profiles to the parliament.
Subsequently, the State Hluttaw’s decision was sought regarding the appointment of Brigadier General Aung Win Than as the Mon State Chief Minister, as proposed by the President-elect, and the state Hluttaw officially approved the appointment.
Afterward, the proposals sent by the President-elect regarding the number of Mon State Ministries, the number of Ministers, the Chief Justice of the Mon State High Court, and the number of High Court Judges were presented to the Hluttaw. The Speaker of the State Hluttaw sought the parliament's decision, and the State Hluttaw agreed and approved them.
The fifth day of the First Regular Session of the Third Mon State Parliament was then adjourned. It was announced that the sixth day of the meeting will be held on April 7 at 10:00 AM.
