Kachin State Hluttaw: Hluttaw approved appointment of State Chief Minister

The fourth day of the first regular session of the third Kachin State Hluttaw was held at 10:00 AM on April 6 in the meeting hall of the State Hluttaw office located in Man Khein Ward, Myitkyina, Kachin State. 

During the session, the Speaker of the State Hluttaw announced that the meeting was valid and commenced, as all 45 eligible Hluttaw representatives were present. The Speaker then presented to the State Hluttaw a proposal regarding the authority to determine the number of Kachin State ministries (seven), the number of Kachin State ministers (seven), and the number of Chief Justice and judges of the Kachin State High Court, as submitted by the elected President of the Union. After seeking the decision of the Hluttaw representatives, the Speaker declared that the proposal was approved.   

Subsequently, regarding the nomination by the elected President of the Union for the appointment of the Chief Minister of Kachin State—namely, U Khet Htein Nan, Hluttaw Representative No. 1 of Myitkyina Township—and with no Hluttaw representatives objecting, the Hluttaw granted its approval. The Speaker then declared the confirmation of the appointment of U Khet Htein Nan, Hluttaw Representative No. 1 of Myitkyina Township, as the Chief Minister of Kachin State. The fourth day of the session was then adjourned.
