Japanese MPs' briefing after 4-day trip to Taiwan

Former Japanese defense minister Shigeru Ishiba, who is currently leading a delegation visiting Taiwan from July 27 to July 31, was speaking to journalists in Taipei City.

The delegation also includes Yasukazu Hamada who is also a former defense minister, Akihisa Nagashima, former vice minister of defense, and Takayuki Shimizu, a member of the House of Councilors in the National Diet. Ishiba said that the objective is to reinforce stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
