





The Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko together with deputy minister U Aye Tun and officials visited Bagan Cultural Heritage zone on Monday and paid homage to the LawkaNanda Tooth Relic Pagoda.
The union minister and party inspected river bank retaining works to protect the LawkaNanda pagoda and LawkaNanda sanctuary from erosion and gave necessary instructions and coordinated for the requirements.
The union minister and party also inspected the protecting works for over flowing water at 2 sites not to damage the pagodas and gave instructions.
Next, the union minister and party arrived at Nyaung Let Phet Lake and highlighted the good utilization and good water management in bagan era, it’s necessary to preserve the ancient waterway and revive them systematically and inspected work implementations.
The union minister also visited MinNanThu Village and inspected Lay Daunt Kan Oo Lake, inflow of water and water flowing through reservoirs and the excavation and research work of first palace site, it’s reported.
