Inspection of Fruit Cold Storage: MCRD UM inspected fruit cold storage in Mudon

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe visited the fruit and flower cold storage facility and wholesale/retail shop operated by Ramanya Development Cooperative Society Limited in Beyan village, Mudon Township, Mon State, in the morning of March 18th, where he inspected operations while society executives and officials provided explanations.

During the visit, the Union Minister addressed the society members and officials, stating that storing locally grown products such as flowers, durian, pineapple, pomelo, and rambutan cultivated by farmer members in the cold storage facility, along with value-added processing and marketing, would increase the family incomes of member farmers.

He provided necessary coordination and support.Subsequently, the Union Minister met with officials from KaungHlyan General Business Cooperative Society and instructed them regarding the project to construct an advanced crumb rubber processing and storage facility on land located in Donkani Quarter, Myoma (2) Ward, east of Kawt Ha Bin Road in Mudon Township.

He directed officials to implement the project as quickly as possible to prevent wastage of locally produced raw rubber materials.Following this, the Union Minister visited the Weaving and Vocational Training School under the Department of Small Industries in Mudon Township, where he met with trainees attending the one-year Textile and Fabric Proficiency course and the six-month Handloom course, offering words of encouragement.

The Union Minister subsequently met with officials at the state, district, and township levels from the ministry's four departments, along with the school principal and instructors, providing necessary guidance and coordinating support based on officials' submissions.
