

Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung conducted an inspection of the cattle breeding zone at the Kyaukni farming area in Konlon Village, Taunggyi Township, on January 15.
The inspection was part of efforts to enhance the productivity and operations of the zone.Initially, the Chief Minister and party inspected the newly constructed spray gates at the entrance to the cattle breeding zone, which were installed with electricity by the relevant departments.
They also examined the areas where cattle barn will be built to accommodate the livestock. During the visit, the Chief Minister reviewed the required preparations and made recommendations for improvements.Following the inspection, the Chief Minister and party were briefed in the Cattle Breeding Zone briefing hall by the Director of the Department of Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Medicine.
The briefing included details about the types of cattle to be bred in the zone and updates on ongoing projects. The Township Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Medicine Department head presented the current status of operations on the 659-acres land of the Kyaukni farming area, as well as the progress of the zone's activities up to January 2025.
After that, the Chief Minister, urged the formation of breeding zone committee and management committee, stressing the importance of collaboration among local breeders to create a model breeding zone. He also assured that the Shan State government would provide necessary support for any further requirements.
The Chief Minister and party then visited the completed helicopter landing pad and the cattle breeding zones managed by SUPER SEVEN STARS AGRI TECH CO., LTD. During the visit, the company representative provided additional details about the operations.
The Chief Minister and the officials also toured the cattle breeding facilities, including the cattle barn and reservoirs within the zone.Later, the Chief Minister, State Ministers, and relevant officials visited the industrial farming area in Thante Village-Tract, Taunggyi Township, which is being developed in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and the "Myint and Zaw" company.
They inspected the 90-acre industrial farming land, and the Director of the Ministry of Agriculture explained the current progress of operations.After hearing reports from the farmers, the Chief Minister coordinated with the relevant departments and emphasized the importance of providing long-term support to the farmers to ensure sustainable and successful farming practices.
