The Myanmar National Human Rights Commission, led by Chairman U Thit Lin Ohn and commission members, conducted an inspection of Insein Central Prison on June 25 and 26.

The team inspected prison facilities, including inmate dormitories, the prison hospital, medical wards, library, vocational training workshops, kitchens, water supply, sanitation, and education programs. They also assessed prisoners' living conditions, healthcare, access to clean water, family visits, religious freedom, and protection from abuse.

The commission privately interviewed inmates who requested meetings, donated books to the prison library, and said it would submit recommendations to the relevant authorities based on its findings.
