Infectious Disease Control: Patient Ward At Waibargi Specialist Hospital

Waibargi Specialist Hospital is being upgraded with the vision to emerge the National Center for Infectious Diseases. On 18th July, Union Minister for Health Dr.Thet Khaing Win visited the construction site of patient ward which is 120-bed three-storey building and donated by Asia World Company.

The Union Minister met officials and heard reports on progress of  construction, installation of hospital materials, employment of staff followed by accommodation arrangements for the convenience of staff step by step.

The Union Minister later inspected isolation rooms, intensive care units, high dependency units, installation of wifi and intercom system, transformer, oxygen plant, water treatment system and landscaping condition. Moreover, the solar system will save electricity consumption of the hospital in the long run. The Union Minister urged officials to work hard for early completion of the patient ward according to the international set standard.
