Illegal Trade: Teak And Vehicles Seized

The action is being taken under the law supervised by the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee, against illegal trades across the country.

The on-duty inspection team made the inspections at the Hteedan container checkpoint on 23 May and confiscated a Light Truck (RHD) that was over the ID period and was left by the owner.

On 24 May, the container terminal of Myanmar International Port (Thilawa) confiscated 28 vehicles which were over the ID period and were left by owners.

On 25 May, the Bago Region Forest Department inspection team captured illegal teak.

Therefore, from 23 to 25 May, 30 arrests were made at an estimated value of 432.50 million Kyats, according to the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
