Illegal Trade: Illegal timber, teak and unregistered vehicles seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 28th and 29th of May, illegal timber, teak, teak posts and unregistered vehicles were seized at the Mandalay’s 16th mile Kyaukchaw Inspection Camp, in Sagaing Township, in Kanbalu Township, in Bago and Toungoo districts and on the Yangon-Mawlamyine Road.

In total, illegal timber, teak, teak posts and unregistered vehicles worth over 43 million Kyats were seized on the 28th and 29th of May. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
