Hoisting golden umbrella: SAC Chairman attended hoisting golden umbrella

The opening ceremony of three-storey Thirimingalardhammayadana monastic building collectively donated by the well wishers led by Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and the ceremony of hoisting golden umbrella, pennant shaped vane and diamond bud atop the Culamuni Ceti erected at the top of three-storey monastic building was held at the Thirimingalar ManHsu Shan monastery in Lashio Township, Shan State (South) in the morning on 11th April with the presence of Presiding Sayadaw of Thirimingalar ManHsu Shan monastery, Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, members of entourage and the local residents.

First, the SAC Chairman and party were welcome by the Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye, Commander of North-East Command Ma-J Gen. Naing Naing Oo, departmental officials and the local residents with the traditional dances. Then, the SAC Chairman and members of entourage paid homage to the Bamboo striped Buddha image residing in the Community hall of the Thirimingalar ManHsu Shan monastery and offered flowers, water and oil lamp. At the ceremony of donating three-storey Thirimingalardhammayadana monastic building, the congregation took the Paritta Sutta recited by the members of Sangha led by the presiding Sayadaw of Thirimingalar ManHsu Shan monastery.

Next, the SAC Chairman and wife offered diamond bud, offertories and cash donation to the Sayadawgyi and the Sayadawgyi returned Dhamma gift and certificate of honor. Then, the congregation led by the SAC Chairman and wife took the sermon delivered by the presiding Sayadaw of Thirimingalar ManHsu Shan monastery and shared merits gained. Afterward, the SAC Chairman and wife and family members and attendees conveyed the golden umbrella, pennant shaped vane and diamond bud to be atop the Culamuni Ceti and the relics to be enshrined in the relic repository of the Ceti.

Later, the SAC Chairman, Council joint-secretary and council member Dr. Kyaw Tun opened the three-storey Thirimingalardhammayadana monastic building collectively donated by the well wishers led by the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister by cutting the ceremonial ribbon. And the SAC Chairman and attendees sprinkled the inscription of the three-storey monastic building with scented water.   Then, at the auspicious time, the congregation led by the SAC Chairman conveyed the diamond bud and pennant shaped vane atop the Ceti by pulling the rope.

After hoisting diamond bud and pennant shaped vane atop the Ceti and sprinkled them with scented water. Then, the banknotes were tossed in token of achievement. Next, the SAC Chairman and party sprinkled the relics with scented water to be enshrined in the relic repository chamber. After paying obeisance to the Ceti walking in clock-wise direction, the SAC Chairman, wife offered alms and fruits in the emerald bowl to the Buddha image resided at the new three-storey Thirimingalardhammayadana monastic building.

Then, the Eugenia sapling was planted in token of achievement of opening three-storey monastic building, hoisting golden umbrella, pennant shaped vane and diamond bud. After the ceremony, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister and wife and the attendees offered day meal to the members of Sangha. Next, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister and wife and the attendees offered the offertories and day meal to the members of Sangha and hosted launch to the guests. Later, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister and party arrived at Lashio Airport and inspected the extension and upgrading works of runway and the Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San and officials clarified necessary matters.

In responding to the clarification, the SAC Chairman and Prime Minister gave necessary guidance. Then, the SAC Chairman, wife and party arrived at the North-West Command, poured Myanmar traditional Thingyan water to the officers, ranks and family members, welcome the Myanmar traditional New Year and cordially greeted.
