Coordination Meeting of CPU: MOALI DM delivered the opening speech

A Coordination Meeting (1/2026) of the Corruption Prevention Unit (CPU) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation was held on March 11 at the meeting hall of Office No. 15 in Nay Pyi Taw.

The ceremony was attended by the Leader of the Ministry's CPU, Deputy Minister Dr. Aung Gyi, who delivered an opening address. In his address, the CPU Team Leader and Deputy Minister stated that the Ministry's CPU was initially formed on February 18, 2019, and has been implementing anti-corruption activities for over seven years now.

He mentioned that the State has been formulating and implementing short-term and long-term action plans for anti-corruption, with the desire for the entire society to participate decisively in combating corruption. He noted that similarly, the Ministry needs to formulate and implement both short-term and long-term activities in addition to current anti-corruption efforts.

He urged efforts to create a corruption-free environment by raising awareness and educating staff and those in their immediate circles about corruption etc. Subsequently, members of the Ministry's Corruption Prevention Unit discussed and reported on the implementation status of activities concerning the proceedings of anti-corruption units formed in respective departments and universities, according to the relevant sectors. Then, the CPU Team Leader Deputy Minister delivered a concluding speech.
