Visiting Examination Centers: Kachin State CM visited matriculation exam centers

As the 2026 Matriculation Examination commenced across the country with the Myanmar language subject being the first exam, Kachin State also began the examinations by opening 23 examination centers.

On the morning of March 11, State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan conducted a tour to inspect the peaceful conduct of examinations at examination centers in Myitkyina. During the inspection, the State Chief Minister, accompanied by Commander of North Command Ma-J Gen Aung Zaw Htwe and State ministers, visited the examination center at Basic Education High School No. (1) in Myitkyina.

They observed the assistance provided by the State Education Officer, District/Township Education Officers, examination supervisory committee members, security forces, and traffic police in ensuring the safety of students arriving by ferry vehicles and motorcycles.

They also cordially greeted and encouraged the parents of students. Subsequently, the State Chief Minister, Commander, and party visited the examination center at Basic Education High School No. (4) in Myitkyina. They inspected the peaceful sitting of students in the examination halls, examined the arrangements made for the health team and supervisor's office, and provided cash assistance.

Afterwards, the State Chief Minister, Commander, and party inspected the former waterlogged area in front of the Aung Zay Yan Aung Pagoda, beside the Union Highway, where overgrown bushes and thickets had been cleared and transformed into the Malikha Garden.

They observed the landscaping improvements, the planting of ornamental flowers, and the installation of the garden signboard, instructing responsible officials to carry out necessary supplementary work. In the afternoon, after the completion of the matriculation exam for the day, they revisited the examination center at Basic Education High School No. (1).

They cordially greeted and encouraged the students who had peacefully completed the first day's Myanmar language paper and were leaving the center. They also distributed nutritious snacks and soft drinks to the students. Later in the afternoon, the State Investment Committee held its (1/2026) coordination meeting at the Malikha Hall of the State Government Office. The State Chief Minister delivered an opening address and coordinated necessary matters during the meeting.
