Healthcare Sector: Union Minister Attends Oxygen Plant Opening

Via videoconferencing, Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr. Htay Aung attended the opening ceremony of the Oxygen Plant in Botahtaung Township of Yangon on Tuesday.

This oxygen plant worth 120 million Kyats can produce full medical grade oxygen for 80 40-litre cylinders a day. The oxygen from the plant is for those from the hotels and tourism field, tourism clinic and other places in need of oxygen.

On the same day, the Union Minister attended the Philippines Tourism Forum titled “ASEAN Tourism towards Recovery and Resiliency” via videoconferencing marking the 54th Anniversary of the founding of the ASEAN. In his address, the Union Minister highlighted the important role of the Forum to share the good practice and efforts to redevelop the tourism in the region.

The Forum was attended by tourism stakeholders and over 600 representatives from the tourism field. At this Forum, Ministry of Hotels and Tourism of Myanmar presented programmes to redevelop the hotels and tourism sector in Myanmar hit by COVID-19.
