Guterres meets South Korea President Yoon in Seoul

United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres had separate meetings with both South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin during a visit to Seoul today.

During the meeting with Yoon, Guterres reiterated the United Nations' commitment to seeing a denuclearized Korean Peninsula.

Guterres said he would like to reaffirm the clear commitment to the full, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and DPRK .

He felt the removal of nuclear weapons would bring peace, security and stability to the whole region.The top UN official is visiting South Korea for a two-day trip.
