Fruit and Perennial Crop Farms: MOALI UM inspected agricultural farms in Mudon

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung visited the Kankalay Farm of the Department of Agriculture near KyonPhaike Village, Mudon Township, Mon State, on March 18th to inspect research activities aimed at achieving early durian harvests.

During the inspection, responsible officials explained the ongoing activities at Kankalay Farm, including efforts to develop fruit cultivation techniques suitable for local soil and climate conditions, production and distribution of quality and pure breed seedlings, research on early durian harvesting, and dissemination of GAP and organic technologies.

The Union Minister provided necessary guidance based on the explanations.Following this, the Union Minister inspected the Perennial Crops Research and Technology Development Farm (Mudon Farm) and gave instructions to responsible officials. He also toured and encouraged the successful intercropping of cocoa and coffee between rubber trees.

Similarly, the Union Minister inspected the Perennial Crops Research and Technology Development Farm (Mawlamyine Farm) and instructed responsible officials to improve good agricultural practices for perennial crop cultivation, effectively conduct agricultural extension work, promote economically viable perennial crop production, and encourage value-added product manufacturing.
