Floods in southern Russian city of Sochi

One woman has died and dozens of cars damaged after floods caused by heavy rain hit Russia's southern city of Sochi on Sunday.

The Russian Emergency Ministry reported that an emergency situation was to be declared in one of city's districts, where over 76 millimeters of rain fell in one hour.

Storm warnings remain in place into Sunday evening and part of the city was without electricity. Heavy rains already caused serious flooding in the same region earlier this month.
