Field Inspection tour: Shan State CM inspected bridge and road constructions

Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, along with the relevant state-level officials, visited the construction site of the Thanlwin (Tar San)  Bridge on the Namhsan–Moene–Mongton–Monghsat Road in Mongpan Township, Linkhay လင်းခေး District, Shan State on July 8.

At the briefing on the Thanlwin (Tar San) Bridge construction project, responsible officials explained the current progress of the bridge and road works. The Chief Minister provided guidance based on their presentations, addressing necessary matters.

Subsequently, the State Minister for Road Transport and the Secretary of the State Government discussed additional requirements, after which the Chief Minister and officials conducted a field inspection of the current status of the bridge construction project.

The Chief Minister and officials then proceeded to Mongton District and visited Mongton Township, where they inspected the storage of emergency rescue supplies in front of the Myanmar Fire Services Department office, intended for natural disaster preparedness. They greeted and encouraged fire brigade members and auxiliary firefighter units, and collaborated with relevant officials to fulfill the necessary requirements.

Next, they visited Bridge No. (2/236) on the Tar San–Mongton–Monghsat Road, where the construction of a new 90-foot Bailey Bridge had been completed. They also received briefings on the excavation work to restore the Namton Creek in Mongton Township, which had previously overflowed due to flooding. The Chief Minister instructed that the projects be carried out systematically in accordance with prioritization.

After that, the Chief Minister met with departmental staff and local residents from Mongton District and Township to discuss regional development efforts. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that all school-age children attend school and called on the relevant departments and parents to work together to achieve this. Regarding local food security, he encouraged district and township authorities to collaborate closely with local communities in agriculture and livestock development.

Local administrators and departmental officials who attended the meeting presented the needs of the region. In response, the Chief Minister coordinated with the responsible departments to address those needs. He also inspected the completed construction of Bridge No. (2/236), the 90-foot Bailey Bridge on the Tar San–Mongton–Monghsat Road, as well as the progress of the creek restoration work. He then issued necessary instructions to the responsible officials.
