Dala Township Motorboat Supervisory Committee is making safety arrangements for the motorboat drivers and passengers who are commuting by Yangon-Dala ferries.
The committee has informed rules and regulations to be followed to ensure the safety of passengers.
Moreover, licenses have been issued to all ferries and drivers in accordance with the rules and regulations since 4th January this year.
The committee also arranges the annual life insurance premium for the passengers.
Kyaw Nyein (Chairman), Dala Township Motorboat Supervisory Committee said "All motor boats have been carefully instructed to follow the rules and regulations. We instructed them to dock at the port when the wind and wave are strong during the rainy season. They have been issued licenses from Township General Administration Department and Marine Administration, and also drivers have to be equipped with skills to drive a complete range. To ensure the safety of the passengers, our executive directors, supervisors and leaders made thorough scrutinizing to issue license to the drivers. Some of them are currently applying for the licenses and some have already done so."
In Dala township, more than 520 motorboats from 11 ports are being run for the commuters on a daily basic.
