Farmland Management: Central Committee Held Its Meeting

Central Farmland Management Committee held a work coordination meeting in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.
Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Tin Htut Oo in his capacity as the Committee Chairman discussed that the ministry is prioritizing for effective use of lands, engaging cultivation on the farmlands, boosting production in livestock sector, sufficient supply of irrigation water and using farm implements and inputs.
The Farmland Management Committee is implementing the farmland policies laid down by the government, and arrangements have been made for not reducing the agricultural lands for food sufficiency of the nation.
The committee is also working on issuing compensation to the farmers and land owners for the confiscated lands in line with the rules and regulations.
