Export Sector: Myanmar exports Sein Ta Lone mangoes to China

Sein Ta Lone mangoes have been exporting to China through Muse border gate with over 50 trucks daily. Sein Ta Lone is a main export fruit from Myanmar. Besides Sein Ta Lone mangoes, watermelons and sweet melons are also exported through Muse border gate and there are over 300 trucks entering the gate every day.  

Sai Khin Maung, Vice Chairman, Muse Fruit Wholesale Center said "Mostly, we export fruits to China through Kyin San Kyawt gate. At present, we can only export mangoes mainly as the watermelon and sweet melons stocks are low due to weather condition.The price range for a bucket of Sein Ta Lone mango is 100Yuan - 150 Yuan according to the quality of mangoes."

The demand and supply of the Sein Ta Lone mangoes is balanced. To be able to penetrate the China market, the growers need to produce the good quality mangoes and take care of the packaging.
