Exhibition Featuring Jiangnan Aesthetics Opens in Shanghai

Jiangnan is a name given to the area located south of the Yangtze River's lower reaches, which includes Shanghai. An exhibition featuring the aesthetics of Jiangnan life opened on Thursday at the Shanghai History Museum. A total of 117 pieces exhibits are on display.

And nearly a third of the 101 sets of artifacts are on display for the first time.  The exhibition titled "Life aesthetics in Jiangnan" will run until August 28. The Jiangnan exhibition is running in parallel with another exhibition at the Shanghai History Museum, which features the history of Chinese tea from the 17th to 19th century.
