






Union Minister for Energy U Myo Myint Oo, together with Ayeyawaddy Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win and responsible officials, inspected the completion status of the Valve Station on the Nyaungdon-Thabaung natural gas pipeline route by Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise on Sunday.
After inspection the Valve Station, the Union Minister and Regional Chief Minister provided fruit baskets and nutritious food to the staff. After that, the Union Minister and the Regional Chief Minister arrived at the natural gas control and distribution station of the Newspaper Mill (Thabaung) and the responsible officials from the Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise reported about the completion status of the repairing works of Nyaungdon-Thabaung natural gas pipeline, electricity generation to Newspaper Mill (Thabaung) and timely implementation to distribute natural gas before monsoon.
The Regional Chief Minister gave suggestions on the raw materials availability for the reoperation of the Newspaper Mill (Thabaung) and coordinated the needs. The Union Minister gave instructions on the systematic replacement process of pipelines, restoration of the damaged farmlands and the erection of pipeline markers.
After that, the Union Minister and the Regional Chief Minister provided fruit baskets and nutritious food to the staff and viewed around the mill. At present, the repair tasks of the Nyaungdon-Thabaung natural gas pipeline have been completed and natural gas has been distributed to Newspaper Mill (Thabaung) starting from June 9th.
The Union Minister and party later proceeded to No. 5 Fertilizer Factory and met with the staff. The officials presented about the operation process of the factory, and the Chief Minister elaborated that the increasing fertilizer productivity will improve the crop yield per acre which will bring benefits for the farmers.
In addition, the Union Minister discussed about the worksite safety and inspected the maintenance works.
