Electrification: Preparations to fully supply electricity demand

To supply the demand of electricity in Myanmar, arrangements are being undertaken to manage systematically the water flow system into the dam to supply the electricity’s demand before summer and repair and reconstruct the water gate and water diversion tunnel in Paunglaung hydropower plant in Zayarthiri township of Nay Pyi Taw Council area.

It’s necessary to strengthen the dam and also, the water inflowing and water storage systems into the Paung Laung reservoir will be carried out. The power plant projects such as hydropower plants, solar power plants and natural gas and thermal power plants will be implemented based on available energy sources to fully generate electricity for the public, to be able to distribute electricity according to the yearly growing needs, to meet the stable distribution of electricity throughout the year.
