Educational Cooperation: 2023 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week

The Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe attended 2023 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week in Guiyang, Guizhou province in China on Tuesday morning.

The ceremony was organized by Chinese Deputy Minister of Education Mr. Chen Jie and the Guizhou province Governor Mr. Li Bingjun extended greetings. Later, Education ministers and high ranking officials of ASEAN countries delivered speeches respectively.

At the event, Union Minister Dr. Nyunt Pe said that by the educational cooperation between China and ASEAN member countries, it will have great potentials in the age of the global village.

The two countries conducted jointly by creating good opportunities for the people through education cooperation with the aims of exchange scholars among each other, enhancing capacities and cultural exchange.

China and Myanmar is promoting the exchange of teaching language and cultural exchange programs for strengthening more friendships, social and economic relations.

The Union Minister added that the Ministry of Education is very interested in dispatching teachers on the study tours to the China and ASEAN countries. And also would like to actively participate in mutual cooperation involving Myanmar universities.

Educational cooperation between Myanmar and China will benefit Myanmar students and Myanmar academic field but also Myanmar's society as a whole. He expressed his belief that through educational cooperation, it hopes to strengthen more friendship, to develop human resources and to enhance progress of the whole region.

Later, Chinese Education Minister Mr. Huai Jinpeng said academic facts of China and China-ASEAN Educational Cooperation. After that, the launching of China-ASEAN Digital Education Alliance and the Alliance for Economics and Management Education (AEME) was followed.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister and delegates attended 2023 China-ASEAN Language and Culture Forum and viewed around the booths displayed at the ceremony and the booths of Yangon University for Foreign Languages.
