Drugs seized: Stimulant tablets worth over 340 million kyats arrested

The stimulant tablets worth over 340 million kyats were arrested at Shwe Than Lwin combined checkpoint, Phayagyi Town, Bago Township, according to Myanmar Police Force.

Acting on a tip-off, the combined forces including the members of Anti-Narcotics Task Force inspected a NISSAN Wingroad vehicle at Shwe Than Lwin combined checkpoint, Phayagyi Town, Bago Township on Yangon-Mawlamyaing Road at 12:30 p.m. on October 2nd, driven by Aung Moe Thu (a) Thar Thar.

A search of the vehicle turned up 0.34 million stimulant tablets valued at over 340 million kyats. According to the investigation, drugs were transported from Shan State to Myeik through Yangon.

The suspect was charged under the Law and investigations are underway to capture the rest of the suspects, according to Myanmar Police Force.
