Drug Seizure: Around 3 billion kyats worth drugs seized in Yamethin

Authorities have seized drugs worth around 3 billion kyats in Yamethin Township. The operation took place between Nang Lon and Kyi Su villages on March 24, when a joint security team stopped three motorcycles carrying suspicious sacks.

One suspect, a 40-year-old man from Pinlaung Township, was arrested after attempting to flee. A search of the bags uncovered 2 million stimulant tablets hidden inside six sacks. The suspect has been handed over to the police for legal action, while investigations are ongoing to identify and arrest others involved.
