









Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife hosted a dinner reception at Zeya Thiri Beikman in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday, in honour of the 81st anniversary Armed Forces Day.
The ceremony commenced with the display of fireworks from the Parade Ground and Bayintnaung Yeiktha, commemorating the 81st Armed Forces Day. The Senior General and wife welcomed the attendees to the reception and enjoyed the dinner together.
Before and during the dinner, members of Myawady Music Band under the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare and Myanmar Police Force staged the entertainment programs. After the dinner, the Senior General and wife enjoyed the display of fireworks, marking the successful completion of the event, and left the event.
This was followed by performance of songs and dances, with the accompaniment of the Orchestra. Vice Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Vice Senior General Soe Win and wife and attendee enjoyed the performance and presented flower basket to the performers.
To commemorate the 81st anniversary Armed Forces Day, colourful lights are illuminated along the entrance road to the Commander-in-Chief (Army) Office, portraying the shapes navy vessels, aircrafts, helicopters and vehicles as well as the three statues of funders of first, second and third Myanmar Empires.
