
The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.
The Ministry reported 5 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Monday after testing 6,961 patients within 24 hours. At the time of the report, there’s no patient who died due to the disease while 4 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 613,387 with 19,434 deaths and 592,350 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.
The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Republic of Korea, Italy and Turkey, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:15pm CEST, 6 June 2022, there have been over 529 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.29 million deaths.
